the parents havent taught the proper use of the paper yet

Why do high school kids "TP" houses? That is throwing rolls of toilet paper all over the trees, bushes, cars?
They do this in my town and it is always related to the high school football season schedule. It happens every year about this time when the games are starting up. We hear cars driving around cheering about a win (or booing about loss) and the next morning - voila - white trees all over town.

What a waste of paper!!!!
Reply:I had to chuckle when I read your question. I did this one time with some friends in the last week before graduating from high school. We were the good kids, the smart kids, but it was the end of high school and we were giddy with the emotions of it. Naturally giddy mind you, no alchohol nor drugs. But we all had a favorite teacher. Our chemistry teacher, Mr. Behr. We all adored this teacher who really seemed to care about his students. We got together at 5:30 am and TP'd his front yard. We hid and visited until he came out to see it and jumped out with a 'surprise!". He got a good chuckle with us - that is just the kind of teacher he was. Then we set to work cleaning his yard up; though, we did underestimate how hard it would be to get the TP out of the branches of the trees. LOL.
Reply:Because it is a rule they can break and get into minimum trouble for, even if they get busted what kind of punishment are they actually going to get? Who knows... just something people do.
Reply:Because it is some thing that is going on through out the times. It has been done many times way over the years. Almost like tradition. Not only that it is a lot cheaper to buy toilet paper then any thing else!
