Someone was badmouthing America so I punched him, Will Bush pardon me now?

He was saying things like "Corporations can do whatever they want."

"Republicans never have to follow any law that they don't want to."

"The Constitution is just a G##D##N piece of paper!"

So I punched him.

Now will Bush pardon me?

Someone was badmouthing America so I punched him, Will Bush pardon me now?
Bush only commutes the sentence of people whose crimes he and Cheney orchestrated as they did with Libby, both his outing Plame and his lying about it. He was only following orders. The pardon will come in 1 1/2 years. As for you, you are sh.t out of luck and on your own.
Reply:if he is a u.s. citizen, no and you should go to jail for violating his right to free speech.
Reply:I wouldnt count on it, unless you are Rich
Reply:At first I was thinking, "Is this a seditious post?".

No.

In fact, it brings up a good point.

I've always wondered about the Presidential pardon.

After Former President Clinton pardoned more than a hundred people his last days in office, I really wondered (don't you hate the "guilty until proved innocent" approach regarding whether one of those was "paid" for?)

Should our President have this power?

Is it a balance against the Judicial system?

And in the end, just now, I realized it was. It was part of the checks and balances of the system.

We might not agree with individual decisions, of any branch, but I must remember that they are FAR better informed than me or you, and there is always more going on than our simplistic views would have us believe.

He might pardon you. I would not. I would be a man of ethics and refuse. Words are not reason for assault where free speech is free.
Reply:Do you have anything that Bush might want? Like, say, your silence?
Reply:If he was a panty wearing liberal...yes.
Reply:You don't have the right to punch anyone just for a comment. The same law also allows you to make comments. It's called Freedom of Speech.

And , yes, Clinton pardoned a lot of people when he left office. It's what all presidents do. I'm anxious to see how many pardons Bush makes. I'll bet it's going to be more than Clinton.
Reply:No,but I will,NOW,go hit him again.
Reply:Bush hasn't pardoned anyone. That was Clinton (140 of them).
Reply:Call him up and ask him.

Clinton would have done it in a heart beat. He pardoned 459 criminals and one was a pedophile.
Reply:consider yourself pardoned!
Reply:Do you know how childish you sound?
