George Bush question.. can you please help?
If I was writing this paper I'd show how he has done a complete 180 from hero to villain in a 6 year period. In the days after 9-11 he had a 93% approval rating!! Now its in the mid 20s. He comforted his country in the days to follow 9-11, gave speeches, revved up our patriotism, then he went to work on destroying his presidency. He lied to the country about weapons of mass destruction and he led us to believe Iraq was behind 9-11. Now four years after the invasion of Iraq he is vetoing bills that would bring our troops home away from the chaos and danger of Iraq.

Watch Fahrenheit 9-11, it will give you a lot of good stuff against Bush if you want to write your paper on that side. Good luck!!
Reply:how about the fact that he signed someones american flag when ther is a written law saying no man should mark up a flag haha
Reply:The Resume of George W. Bush

George W. Bush

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

LAW ENFORCEMENT:

--I was arrested in Kennebunkport, Maine, in 1976 for driving under the influence of alcohol.

--I pled guilty, paid a fine, and had my driver's license suspended for 30 days.

My Texas driving record has been "lost" and is not available.

MILITARY:

--I joined the Texas Air National Guard and went AWOL. I refused to take a drug test or answer any questions about my drug use.

By joining the Texas Air National Guard, I was able to avoid combat duty in Vietnam.

COLLEGE:

--I graduated from Yale University with a low C average.

I was a cheerleader.

PAST WORK EXPERIENCE:

--I ran or U.S. Congress and lost.

--I began my career in the oil business in Midland, Texas, in 1975.

I bought an oil company, but couldn't find any oil in Texas.

The company went bankrupt shortly after I sold all my stock.

--I bought the Texas Rangers baseball team in a sweetheart deal that took land using taxpayer money.

--With the help of my father and our right-wing friends in the oil industry (including Enron CEO Ken Lay), I was elected governor of Texas.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS GOVERNOR OF TEXAS:

--I changed Texas pollution laws to favor power and oil companies, making Texas the most polluted state in the Union.

During my tenure, Houston replaced Los Angeles as the most smog-ridden city in America.

--I cut taxes and bankrupted the Texas treasury to the tune of billions in borrowed money.

--I set the record for the most executions by any governor in American history.

--With the help of my brother, the governor of Florida, and my father's appointments to the Supreme Court, I became President after losing by over 500,000 votes.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS PRESIDENT:

--I am the first President in U.S. history to enter office with a criminal record.

--I set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12-month period.

--I set the all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the U.S. stock market.

--In my first year in office, over 2 million Americans lost their jobs and that trend continues every month.

--I'm proud that the members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in U.S. history. My "poorest millionaire," Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after her.

--I set the record for most campaign fund-raising trips by a U.S. President.

--I am the all-time U.S. and world record-holder for receiving the most corporate campaign donations.

My largest lifetime campaign contributor, and one of my best friends, Kenneth Lay, presided over the largest corporate bankruptcy fraud in U.S. History, Enron.

My political party used Enron private jets and corporate attorneys to assure my success with the U.S. Supreme Court during my election decision.

I have protected my friends at Enron and Halliburton against investigation or prosecution.

More time and money was spent investigating the Monica Lewinsky affair than has been spent investigating one of the biggest corporate rip-offs in history.

--I presided over the biggest energy crisis in U.S. history and refused to intervene when corruption involving the oil industry was revealed.

--I presided over the highest gasoline prices in U.S. history.

--I changed the U.S. policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts.

--I set the record for fewest number of press conferences of any President since the advent of television.

--I set the the all-time record for most days on vacation in any one-year period.

After taking off the entire month of August, I presided over the worst security failure in U.S. history.

I garnered the most sympathy for the U.S. after the World Trade Center attacks and less than a year later made the U.S. the most hated country in the world, the largest failure of diplomacy in world history.

--I have set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously protest me in public venues (15 million people), shattering the record for protest against any person in the history of mankind.

--I am the first President in U.S. history to order an unprovoked, pre-emptive attack and the military occupation of a sovereign nation. I did so against the will of the United Nations, the majority of U.S. citizens, and the world community.

--I have cut health care benefits for war veterans and support a cut in duty benefits for active duty troops and their families -- in wartime.

--In my State of the Union Address, I lied about our reasons for attacking Iraq, then blamed the lies on our British friends.

--I am the first President in history to have a majority of Europeans (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and security. I am supporting development of a nuclear "Tactical bunker Buster," a WMD.

--I have so far failed to fulfill my pledge to bring Osama Bin Laden.

**And I Think The US Constitution Is

Just A "GODDAMNED PIECE OF PAPER

"There's an old saying in Tennessee - I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee - that says, fool me once, shame on - shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again."
Reply:Let's just say he's probably the WORST us president the US has ever had.

Just found out that the Dept of Defense ' Intelligence' division were reporting suspicious Canadian coins which had poppies on them as possibly being tracking devices by US agents in Canada during 2004. The coins were to commemorate 117,000 war dead Canada had had since the first world war.

Then of course we have the lies about al quaeda and Saddam Hussein being involved in 9/11, the weapons of mass destruction that weren't there that started the US in the war in Iraq. And then we have a number of GOP senators and house reps being thrown out for ethics violations. Scooter Libbey lying and trying to finger Tim Russert , in outing a CIA operative. Oh and the US military lying about Pat Tilman's death by friendly fire and the other friendly fire deaths of the four Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan and the British soldiers who died by friendly fire in Afghanistan that the US gov. covered up.

And then of course we have Attorney General Gonzales firing 7 federal prosecutors for ' political' reasons, most of them GOP btw because they were prosecuting the GOP candidates who had ethics violations.

You decide, he's neither a hero or villian , he's just stupid and the dumbest, most corrupt administration since Nixon's.
Reply:He is opinionated, stubborn, will not listen to his advisers unless it's Rice saying YES to his every action. He will go down as the worst president the US has ever had. He made a very bad mistake he went into a war room and never looked for an exit door. Now he is going to have to tuck his tail between his legs and run home with a bloody nose. OH yeah he just might go after Iran on his run home.
Reply:He is a hero...He proves that even if you are intellectually challenged, and can barely remember your name you can still become president of the US of A
Reply:Villain is easier but there is more material for you to find online praising him as a hero. Just go to the whitehouse.gov site and read his own speeches. Eight pages is nothing, one page on his drunken rich silver spoon youth, another half page on his membership in the Skulls, another half on his failures as a businessman, a page on his tenure as governor of Texas including some discussion on death penalty, a reference to all the things he said in the 2000 debates which are totally at odds with what he has done as prez, then two pages on Iraq and Afghanistan, two pages on the destruction of our civil liberties and the cronyism he has brought to our government. That should just about do it.
Reply:you can never judge a person of authority as a hero or villain because his actions may look right to other people and wrong to to the opposite.
Reply:You are going to have to go way back to fill 6 pages. Go back to his days as the minority owner of The Texas Rangers or even before then and bring the reader up to the present. As you do your research do not write your paper with a conclusion of hero or zero until you have finished. Then formulate your opinion and why and how you came to that conclusion. Hell, writing about your conclusion, that is 2 pages right there!
Reply:Fahrenheit 9-11. Yeah, there's a good unbiased source for information. Give me a break.

You are part of what's wrong with America today. You blindly follow anyone who says what you "think" is right.

You should be unbiased in your paper. Look at BOTH sides. Don't praise, don't bash. Just inform. The guy above is right - wait until your conclusion to put in your opinion.
Reply:villain why did he have to get in to Iraq's business with Israel!? he's...i don't want to get reported so i wont say anything
