Is Rev. Wright's "God D**n America" worse than G.W. Bush's "The Constitution is just a Godd****d piece of...

paper."? Seems to me that Bush is in a much better position than Rev. Wright to influence national policy with his attitude, but what do you think?

Is Rev. Wright's "God D**n America" worse than G.W. Bush's "The Constitution is just a Godd****d piece of...
Bush's statement indicates a far more frightening ideology. Occasionally, people curse that which they love. Bush's statement indicates a far stronger contempt for America than Wright's.

Bush's statement was made in 2005 in a closed door meeting and reported by Capitol Hill Blue here:

Reply:Whether or not he actually spoke the words is not relative because actions speak louder than words. He has violated the constitution that he swore to uphold. He has embarrassed America in the eyes of the civilized world by sanctioning torture. His lies has cost us over 4000 American troops. Maybe up to 200,000 civilians. His policy of preemptive war, attacking a country because it might be a threat, not only lost us the Coalition that his father put together in 1991 but violates every principle cherished by the American people and the Republican party.
Reply:While both quotes are taken entirely out of context, the President's comments were much worse. Rev. Wright was trying to make an intelligent point about the failures of government, and the everlasting power of his God, a point that many of the religious right would actually agree with if they bothered to listen to his whole sermon.

What President Bush said, on the other hand, was entirely out of line. The Constitution is not just a piece of paper, it is the basis of our whole governing system, a system which he has emphatically disrespected and perverted. Statements like these are why other countries at times loathe America, because of the disrespectful nature of the comments of our supposed Commander In Chief.
Reply:the links are on here twice you pukes, and god should damn america for going to nam , iraq , central america , south america, this country sucks and i aint going anywere. i will do my best to change the country for the better. world trade center attacks happened because of our presence in other countries that pissed people off, you can't shove democracy down everyones throat. violence begats violence, so you brought it on yourself, dumba$$, chickens came home to roost
Reply:Yes. You're right. I don't care about any of that. I hear about children being abuse on TV. Soldiers, 4,000, soldiers dying in the war. This is silly stuff to me. I am worried about gas and food prices. Rev. Wright in not running for presidency. We had a republican president. President Bush is the worst president ever. He has the lower approval rate than any other president. He has taken the most vacation days than any other president. President Bush is spending trillion in war that we didn't need. Where 47 million Americans do not have health care. I think the media is having a field day. This is not news. This is a distraction from the real issues. We all know about Bush and he doesn't care about black people. Look how he treated the people in Katrina. President Bush has been in office for eight years. He gave big tax breaks to the rich and big businesses. Bush f***ed us for eight years. We are worst off since Bush been in office. The Republican is a racist party. John McCain is a racist calling Asians g00ks and blacks tar baby.
Reply:Well, even if Bush never actually said those words, his actions belie his true feelings. After all he initiated a war without congress' approval and he instituted the Patriot Act (great name) in blatant disregard of the 4th Amendment.

Reply:If Bush said that the media would've been all over it. I notice it only on left wing sites.

caldude, that is not a legit link. Notice how it said "talked to 3 people". Who are they. Why no mainstream reporting. Yea, I can talk to 3 people as well who'll tell me Obama is with Al -Qaeda. LOL!
Reply:The problem is,Bush isn't running again. Obama is and this man is whom he call's his mentor. Many people were under the illusion Obama was a uniter. That he was enlightened. However,he just seems to be clinging to these old negative people.
Reply:They are equally offensive. But our freedom of speech should not be taken into question either.

As for people who want a link to Bush's comments:

Reply:Could you please provide a link to some evidence showing that Bush actually said that? Methinks you're either misinformed, or seeking to misinform.
Reply:Shouldnt a pastor know you are not suposed to use the Lords name in vain?

BTW- research that "quote" from Bush

It has been debunked several times and is a total fabrication( like most things you read on left wing blogs)
Reply:pick up a bible and read ,dam is written all over the scriptures, media spin of pastors wright words being taken out of context have scare white Americans like little children's who can't or want think for them self's
Reply:I think I'd like to see the link to the President's "statement". Without it, your assertion has no credibility.
Reply:Bush never said it. It's left wing blog spin. However, Rev Clown did utter those infamous words that turn all you lefties on.
Reply:President Bush never said that. So,unless you have a source (blogs are NOT a source);your question is based on an unsound premise.
Reply:1 is a president and 1 is a pastor. I think a president has much more influence, good or bad.
Reply:I agree with Reverened Wright. God Dang America. Its also funnier.
Reply:Bush never said it. Next.......
Reply:I'd really like to know when Bush said that. Seriously.
Reply:What?
Reply:OH YEA BROTHER!

I believe that Rev Wright should not be so RACIST!

I want so badly for racism to be over.

We have many people who are mixed already, and the future will bring more, what are these poor people to do?

Rev. Wright is asking God To DAMN America, whereas President Bush is stating a fact, It is just a piece of paper.

It's people like Rev. Wright who keep Racism going, and it won't stop till they do.

"Love one another just as God loves you"

**And no I don't mean be Gay** LOL%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;
Reply:Church is no place for politics. My pastor understands this and openly says it in church. He is also white. This is an example of how the Liberal Democrats are hypocrites. They cry separation of church and state and turn around and talk politics in church. And they race bait in large numbers. If they continue on this course Whites might get wise in large numbers and say if your going to race bate and create your own culture we just might say screw you and eliminate any support for you and your people.
Reply:I have video of Wright saying it, and you have nothing on GW saying it. Which means you liberals have a hard time proving your point and we conservatives don't. You liberals really should invest into some modern technology like CD's and Cell phones with Camera's, instead of tying yourself to a tree.
Reply:If in fact the former President Bush said that, he is right , the Constitution is just a piece of paper. He could have done without the expletive. However, don't tell me God **** America. If you don't like it, leave.
Reply:YES, because Bush never said that. It is just another far left winger's fabrication. I think that you need to check your facts, instead of repeating rumors.
Reply:I think they should all just continue to open there big mouths, in a way they are helping the Clinton campaign.
