Im writing a paper and I need some examples of what Bush has done to help out the people of the U.S. I am having a really hard time finding examples, please help
What has Bush done for the poeple of this nation? I am having a hard time finding examples. Please help?
Since Bush has been in office:
We now have an Office of Homeland Security.
Airports are safer - New screening machines, dogs, armed security
Airliners are safer - Pilot doors, armed guards, better training
We have a color coded Alert system that was non-existent before Bush
Bush has lowered all our taxes
Federal funds are now given to each state for fighting terrorism
The military was in shambles from neglect due to the Clinton Admin. Now we have proper machines, artillery, helicopters %26amp; airplanes, training, supplies, etc. so we can defend our country.
New York rebounded from the biggest disaster ever with Bush's help.
Bush extended unemployment insurance and gave tax incentives so New Yorkers could get a job again.
Bush has set up villages in other countries that house and feed the poor to prevent the terrorists from enticing them into the jihad movement.
Bush has rid the Taliban and their drug operations in Afganistan.
Bush has given the Afganistan people freedom from oppression, (beheadings, genocide, etc).
Bush has started schools for children in Afganistan as well as the women, who previously were not allowed to be educated.
He has declared Iran's army, terrorists.
And as of recent, he has cemented relations with Canada and Mexico.

India is no longer making threatening comments to US Naval Attaches. (yes I know, Dems don't like to talk about that.)
He stopped the Democrat push in Congress for reinstating the draft. (yes I know, Dems don't like to talk about that.)
Exposed the left in this country as the vicious haters of anyone who doesn't agree with them. I point to the Hitler, fascist, Nazi, war mongerer, murderer, mass murderer, terrorist, anti-Christ ramblings. (yes I know, Dems don't like to talk about that.)
He stood up to Islamic terrorism when too many people in this world wanted to be like France. (yes I know, Dems don't like to talk about that.)
Sorry, I know I'm going to burn in neo-con hell. I'm sure everyone on the left will be very happy when that happens. Afterall, they seem a spiteful group.

Reply:Economy is better since he has been in office. Unemployment is low. More americans buying homes. More jobs. Has protected us against another terrorist attack. You wont find the media ever giving him credit for the good he does. They only look for the negative..

There is not one positive thing he has done during his administration. we can all be thankful that he still has about 515 more days left in office.

...and no to the people above me. He divided this country, he placed us in a deficit after Clinton balanced the budget, unemployment is the same or worse because there are more people under-employed, and as far as housing, the Dow is going down because people couldn't afford the houses they bought. Take a look at the amount of foreclosures going on now.

and I use their president and tell them to go say that to him.

Reply:You don't hang out in the right circles. The Vanderbilts, the DuPonts, and the Rockefellers LOVE George Bush. The 400 richest American families have seen their wealth grow exponentially during the Bush administration...

He's taught us that having a rich and powerful daddy really helps.

He's taught us that it does in fact matter who you elect to be president.
Reply:well different people have different opinions of his policies as to wheteher they helped or hurt, so it can be tough, bring up some of his proposals and write about both sides of the issues, opinions of those who think they helped and those who didn't think they helped.

And many know what he has done.
Always remember that by definition, hale the people are of less than average intelligence.
Half of those will believe almost anything, like alien abductions, Elvis is alive, God speaks through stains on restroom floors etc.
If the polls being reported are correct, and there is very strong evidence that they have been skewed in Bush's favor, those are that same people still supporting him. A few of them participate in Yahoo Answers, and are obvious by the quality of their comments which often include completely false fabrications concerning the state of the Country on several fronts.
For those people and for the elite profiteers who regard money as a greater good than humankind, he has perhaps done some perceived service, either financial or verbal.

The Bush administration has been 180 degrees out from what those words promise.
In addition, it is the only administration that with both a war and a whole slew of natural disasters to pump up the economy managed to start a downhill slide for the economy by diverting all the money to a very few profiteers and then trying to make a killing buying up defaulted mortgages (after raising the prime rate so variable rate loans would kick up their payments).
In order to write your paper you will have to concentrate on the upper 0.1% of the population which gets more than 33% of the income and owns more than 50% of the countries wealth. Those are the people he has helped.

Reply:We have grown as a Country under the leadership of President Bush. Most of us that want to work and live the dream are allowed to do it instead of it being handed to us. Our economy is strong and our streets are safe for the most part. There's never been a perfect presidency, there never will. President Bush has lead this Country through some of the most troubling days since Pearl Harbor and the civil war.
He has handled it well and to the best of his abilities.
Of course there will always be lazy crybabies who will whine about everything and anything but that goes with the territory.
Reply:Prescription drug help for medicare users and that is about it. That's pretty liberal for a republican president and congress.
