Did Bush really call the Constitution "That Goddamn piece of paper"?

Maybe it's just a rumor, but if he did, holy crap!! Is it not one of his main dudies to "uphold and protect" the Constitition?

Did Bush really call the Constitution "That Goddamn piece of paper"?
President George W. Bush is on the record as having said the Constitution of this United States is "just a piece of paper." This same president has condoned torture and reserved the right to waive habeas corpus when he thinks it is necessary.

On May 9, 2007, the final dishonor to his oath of office occurred. Our president passed National Security Presidential Directive/ NSPD-51 and Homeland Security Presidential Directive/HSP-20 and has given himself the power to proclaim himself dictator of the United States of America, assuming all the powers of national, state, local and tribal governments under any emergency he deems necessary. CSPAN is the only media outlet to even discuss this issue.

Read the directive for yourself on the Internet at www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/05... You will see an unprecedented executive branch power grab that has no boundaries. Our Constitution has been made null and void.
Reply:LOL!!! i hope not!! that crazy hillbilly!!
Reply:he doesn't know crap about his duties.
Reply:If he really did say it the quote would be all over the news networks that love to shaft the administration. Leftist rhetoric is all that it is.

I ask any liberal to provide any viable evidence from a reliable site. I call them out and all they know how to do is:

call me a neo-con

link to some booty-a** leftist website

or give me a thumbs down

It's a lie and they know it. Why do you think they hate conservatives and Republicans so much? Because we point out their errors and call them out on them. Simple.
Reply:George?
Reply:I doubt it. Bush doesn't know what the Constitution is.
Reply:I think he actually said bring me that god damn constitution, I am out of toilet paper!
Reply:yep, maybe he'll take more notice of the arrest warrant.
Reply:There's no way he did. It's a silly rumor. There's no way to prove he said it.
Reply:yes, it is part of his oath of office...but apparently that means nothing to him. even if he did not say such a thing, he is acting as if it were his true sentiment...
Reply:its rumored that someone heard him say it. its not on tape or anything. its sad that the president of the united states wound be the kind of person that would be believed to have said that.
Reply:where is there evidence that bush said that??? please write to me per my address on my profile and give me the proof. if he said that, then he has no business being the president. if he really said that, then i guess he has lost his mind...
Reply:i don't know but i sure hope he didn't say that,

that make makes me so angry,

as a president he sucks badly
Reply:Oh that is halarious! Bush is one funny guy! I love him! No seriously, I'm not being sarcastic, I think he's great!
Reply:I hadn't heard that, And I'm usually the first to criticize him.
Reply:Never heard of it. My guess is that if said at all it was by a Democrat or other Leftist. One Democrat echoed the sentiments of nearly all Leftists when he referred to the Constitution as "that antiquated document" that limits his ability to do for the people what he knows is best (the late Sentator Fullbright).
Reply:If its not caught on tape, it will be a matter of accusation and denial. The point is his behavior in office certainly bears out that frame of reference with regard to rights and liberties of US citizenship eroding under his watch........
Reply:ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS GOOGLE BUSH PIECE OF PAPER

UNFORTUNATELY THE NEO-CON bUSH DEFENDS ARE WRONG IN THIS DENIAL OF ANOTHER BUSHISM

I don't give a goddamn," Bush retorted. "I'm the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way."

"Mr. President," one aide in the meeting said. "There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution."

"Stop throwing the Constitution in my face," Bush screamed back. "It's just a goddamned piece of paper!"

I've talked to three people present for the meeting that day and they all confirm that the President of the United States called the Constitution "a goddamned piece of paper."

And, to the Bush Administration, the Constitution of the United States is little more than toilet paper stained from all the **** that this group of power-mad despots have dumped on the freedoms that "goddamned piece of paper" used to guarantee.
Reply:It's not only a rumor...it's a lie....which seems to be the only weapon anymore in the liberal arsenal.
Reply:Yes it is true.

But I can't bother with posting the source and I will tell you why!

Also I might add - this is not addressed to the asker of this question

Doesn't it crack you up when a Republitard Bushian asks you to show proof of something and then - they request that you don't give links to the only Websites that cover the actual stories about the truth and the corruption in Washington!

Its not like your going to get any truth from Fox

So where would you Bozo's like the proof to come from?

So stupid!

It's like this for them - "show me a source, but not an honest source! In fact if its from anything other than Fox news or EIB network I am going to call you a liar!"

Hahahahaha

Don't you mean you make the errors and then manufacture smoke and mirrors to avoid the responsibility

Its like Bush telling a bunch of kids -"we don't torture"

While thousands of miles away they are torturing

Lie after lie after lie after lie after lie
Reply:the Bush family has been wiping their hind-crevaces with the constitution for decades - way back to when Prescott Bush was selling steel to the Nazi war machine - well AFTER the United States' involvement in WWII -

the Bush family and the vast majority of the GOP have never had any alliance with the USA - way back to their fighting against the USA in the Civil War - they couldn't destroy America by blood and guns so they've switched to corruption and dissolution from within.
Reply:The guy who wrote that is named Thompson and he's a columnist in Arkansas. Everywhere that I've seen this sited has been on left leaning websites; and the only time I saw it on a right leaning one, someone was claiming that Thompson had retracted it. I've never found a link for this from a major news source. I could not be a bigger critic of this Pres, but I don't even know if he's dumb enough to say that. I wouldn't put it past him though, which some of the legislation he supports...
Reply:Yeh and he called Abe Lincoln that crazy cat with a hat...

Maybe he did maybe he didnt, only way to know is if he accidently had a microphone on at the time.
Reply:I wouldn't put it past him
Reply:Are you spreading the rumor! Go figure!
Reply:Yeah, probably covered up by the corrupt media.
Reply:Only way to know is if a whistleblower who was actually there comes forward to testify.

Interesting that the "Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act" faces a veto threat from GWB ... can't figure out why he would do that ... see link below.
Reply:When GW swore to protect the Constitution, he thought they were talking about the old ship the USS Constitution docked in Boston Harbor.

That's quite a story but I don't even think the stupidest president in the history of America (GWB) would be dumb enough to make a comment like that.
