What do you Bush lovers have to say about this?

Global warming is no longer Big Oil's dirty, little secret. American's have realized the urgency of the issue, but the Bush administration clearly has not. A recent backroom deal could kill the future of America's first offshore wind farm and only YOU have the power to save it. (This is a statement from Greenpeace)

I just happened to be doing a science research paper on Global Warming when saw that statement. Just wondering what you guys have to say about that.

What do you Bush lovers have to say about this?
Global warming is a natural event. People can blame it on pollution all they want to, but if you talk to a geologist, they will tell you goes through natural warming and cooling cycles. There is evidence of this in the ice caps. People are alarmed because the planet is warming up so rapidly, but ice caps are an anomoly if you look at the entire history of the planet. It's very possible that the planet is just going back to what's normal for it.
Reply:Global warming is due more to the Sun getting hotter! Do a little more research.
Reply:Bush lovers aren't going to pay it any attention since it comes from Greenpeace.

As for me, I can see that historically, there have been cycles of warming and cooling in the earth's environment. I believe the majority of scientists who say that human emissions are contributing to the warming we are seeing today.

My response to those of you who see this as a natural occurrence: does it matter? Let's say, at the least, human factors MIGHT be contributing to a normal, natural cycle of global warming. Are you willing to go that far?

Since the potential results of that cycle of global warming could be famine, disease, war, death, and potentially the end of all human life, don't you think we owe it to ourselves to do as much as we possibly can to put that day off as long as possible? Would it HURT us to start taking human factors seriously, to reduce CO2 emissions, to improve gas mileage, to look for alternative fuels?

Or are you all willing to fiddle while Rome burns as long as someone will pay you to do it?
Reply:bush is to busy trying to run the world global warming isn't part of his controlling plan, he hasn't thought about what he can't control. that's next i'm sure.
Reply:Thanks for the information. I'll read upon it.
Reply:I think it is funny that so much debate still goes on about this. One side saying it is a natural event and would happen whether there was human life on this planet or not, the other side saying that homeostatis would exist if only humans were still wearing fur and never found fossil fuels.

I think the important factor should be - What happens if the oceans rise 30ft? Would that be a good thing or a bad thing? If we see evidence of our house flooding, should we make an effort to stop it, or should we simply accept that the flooding would happen one way or another?

By the way there is vast scientifc speculation that large Wind Farms change the Global flow of air and will further contribute to catystrophic weather patterns and global warming...

...who to believe?
Reply:All I can say for those who still do not believe in global warming due of human behavior: either you try to do something about it, or the nature will take care of it by wiping humans out so we can no longer to any damage and starte the healing process.

Reply:Yes Global warming is a issue that no one knows the cause of and it is obvous that only American changing anything will have no effect

I even heard that cows give off gass that is causing it.

So yes we need to have more studies and find out what is the cause.

And yes and they don't want is to drill for off shore oil, Alaskan oil and alot more ( no wait, that is not the government, it is the greenpeace people)

But that is ok, they want us to be just like Europe, 14 percent unemployment and 6 dollar a gallon gas
Reply:What have you done to slow down global warming?

People always blame Bush, but don't you think it's been going on longer than 6 years.

Are you taking the bus to work?

Are you heating your house less?

Have you stopped eating meat?

Have you stopped flying on airplanes?

Have you installed a solar hot water heater?

It's the actions of all the people in the world, not President Bush, that is causing global warming.
Reply:Nope, only GOD has the power to save anything and everything... Sorry babes..
Reply:I actually believe in the bible which states the world will end with global warming. It states that we should have all listened to Al Gore and Turned up the Air Conditioner that he invented or it was going to get hot. For real though I believe that Global Warming is a way for the people who invented it to get attention. Others have picked up on the bandwagon to get attention. And simply lots and lots of people are gullible and believe anything. Most people believe that there are water shortages too. The retarded people in my town are on water restrictions. The world is 3/4 water and we just need to figure out how to filter it much cheaper. Forget about off shore wind farms. If a wind farm is needed do it onshore.
Reply:u r right, global warming is killing the world. it is a natural phenomenon that is bound to happen, most likely due to the expansion of the sun.

wht pollution is doing and crass comercial exploitation of natural resources is doing is equivalent to feeding sugar ro a diabetes patient. it is speeding the killing of the earth.
Reply:All of your scientific proof is merely a theory by selected researchers. One could get just as many to refute this claim.
Reply:girl i feel you i hate bush he's a greedy bum while the new orealens was trying to live he was having fun playing a got dam gitar
Reply:How are you SO sure Global Warming is caused by humans? hmm?
Reply:Well do you also know Earth inches closer and closer to the Sun each passing year, how the moon inches further and further away from Earty each passing year? True, the amount of how far they move a year isn't much considering our small ideal of length compared to the vast universe, but the Sun will scorch the Earth, and it will not be from global warming, it will be from drifting closer and closer to the Sun. In fact, the solar system is doing so, Pluto instead of being a ice ball, it will be like Miami Beach. Of course that effect will be thousands of years from now, but each passing year is that closer to that huge fire ball floating in the middle of our solar system.
Reply:A statement from Greenpeace.............. come on now........... this in itself provides a loss of creditibility.
Reply:I'm no Bush lover, so I'm just going to address the first 3 answers above.

God did not create us and grant us all of our abilities so that we can go through life believing that we are powerless puppets. He desires that we improve ourselves, with His guidance, in order to carry out His will. If you don't believe that, fine, but my own experience has led me to believe this.

Second, observations such as the spike in CO2 emissions within the last 50 years, or the absence of cancerous cells in organisms prior to the industrial revolution, make it clear that human behavior IS having a detrimental impact. Not everything can be explained by cyclical behavior.

Third, as long as we're talking about doing a little research, very recent research has shown that variations in the sun's temperature can NOT explain the warming we are observing today.

Nice try, people. But Bush %26amp; Co. have repeatedly put politics before science, so there is no reason to believe anything they have to say about this issue.
