Isn't it wonderful how President Bush is uniting the Middle East?

Israel says it won't work with the Palestinian government, Ahmadinejad calls the UN sanctions a "torn piece of paper," the war in Iraq is ongoing and going strong, Afghanistan is in a shambles with the Taliban gaining power...

I have a feeling that, with all this going on, what might actually end up uniting the Middle East is their collective hatred of the U.S.

I wouldn't want to be George W. Bush on THAT day.

Isn't it wonderful how President Bush is uniting the Middle East?
...and some people even still stand by their failed Mr. Bush and Mr. (Friend shooter) Cheney.
Reply:Thank you for choosing mine as the best answer. Report It

Reply:Egypt and Saudi Arabia also hates us.

Be afraid, be very, very afraid......

By the way is there a safe haven, for us "told you sos" where we can be accepted as expats?
Reply:This is already happening. Despite the Iraq-Iran War, Ahmadinejad and Maliki have already met several times, with no US representatives present, Iran and Syria remain joined at the hip, Saudi Arabia although quiet - has made no visible commitments....and the entire Middle East is well aware of the modus operandi of the United States. The region has no intentions of giving up its oil revenues. Oh, the US will recoup some of the hundreds of billions they have expended in the name of the war, but these Middle Easterners are not stupid. They will allow the US to recoup but under THEIR terms, not ours. The US went into Iraq believing it would be a cakewalk. Wrong. Now we are paying. If nothing else, we have all learned that these are a patient people. And in reality they have no use for the United States except as a major part of world police.

(The Taliban ae as powerful if not moreso than they were pre-invasion. We just don't hear much about it what with the Iraq daily headlines)
Reply:He is spreading democracy. It's hard to unite the Middle East when groups like Hamas and Hezbollah don't want peace and Iran is interested in imposing a militant islamic state all over the Middle East.
Reply:How does GW have anything to do with the UN and its moronic sanctions or polocy.
Reply:The middle east has been like this for years. It's a perfect example of "you reap what you sow". The world is sick and tired of 14th century death squads.
Reply:the middle east has never been united and if you are not muslim they wouldnt give you a pot to piss in
Reply:Yes, before Bush Israel and Palestinians (and the arab nations) got a long great. Nevermind those few wars they had.

Seem to recall Saddam Hussein pulling the same stuff that Ahmad is under clinton.

The tailiban are nowhere near as powerful as they were before. AND it is no longer a safe haven for Osama.

GOOD CALL.
