"9 soldiers die in Iraq on page 6" "Bush dances with White House visitors Pg 1, how does this make you feel?

This week Bush had some visitors to the White House, he was taped doing a dance with them and playing the congos with them, he looked like he was having such a good time.





Many news channels showed the tape and they spun the story like Bush was doing a good and funny thing.





Meanwile 9 soldiers died in Iraq. This got little air time and could be found on page 6 in most Republican owned newspapers (Gannette media corperate ownerships of several houndred news papers accross the United States)





So how do you feel about Bush having so much fun wile the soldiers fighting in Iraq are dying?

Reply:The President's behavior is to be expected at this point. The American Media's decline into "info-tainment" as opposed to real, fact-based investigative journalism, bothers me more.
Reply:Oh give it a rest. It is not as though Bush is telling them where to put what stories.


Your "question" proves that nobody can make anyone believe or say what they want.


I agree, it is awful that soldiers died. Every single one of them. You just can't go blaming Bush for it.


The soldiers are fighting for FREEDOM so people CAN have fun and dance.

Reply:The real honest to God truth of what the original loyal Bushie is about. He never has cared anything at all for the US troops dying in Iraq. Perhaps he isn't satisfied enough of the numbers died, so he is sending more, and soon more again.
Reply:It was the same under Lincoln, FDR, Truman, Eisenhower, Kennnedy, Johnson, Nixon and so forth. So to accuse Bush of eating cake while soldiers die is historical nonsense.

Bush doesn't know how to run a country. It's obvious. He doesn't know how to fight a war. That's obvious. But don't you think that it's alil f'ed up that we have a texas-oil man as a president who took over a country with what----OIL----- with little more than the alibis that they had "WMD's", which we all found out was never true (and oddly enough, there was little said about it when we did), and we're still paying $3 a gallon at the pump?





And don't forget- I'm a republican.
Reply:President Bush doesn't control what the news shows. If you have a problem with them giving little time to our soldiers that have died in Iraq, which I actually agree with you, then contact them and complain.


I don't think it makes President Bush horrible because he danced around with some visitors at the White House. I'm a Military wife and an American and it bothers me every-time we lose a solider in Iraq, but life at home doesn't stop. Believe it or not, President Bush does have other duties besides the Iraqi war, and some of those duties include entertaining people at the White House!

Reply:I feel the same as when all that was on the news for two weeks was Anna Nicole. But, we (the American public) bear some of the responsibility. Most Americans don't want to hear that depressing stuff. The news media is going to publish/broadcast what they know will make money by drawing in consumers.
