To dump tons of copper in the oceans because their is limited research to show that this may help slow golbal warming. Even though it is suspected this will cause untold damage to the oceans eco system.
The origional article I read was in the Independent News Paper U.K Maybe available online I'm not sure.
Seeing as the rain forrest are being chopped down and destroyed permanantly which would really help contol global warming in a ecologically sound way. Isn't this just another example of how the Bush administration is just a walking disaster zone, not to mention a complete liability as far as world peace and the enviornment is concerned.
Has anyone heard about brainless bush's latest plan.?
Don't be an idiot. Have you checked the price of copper lately? He's supposed to be raping the planet for $$$. Not dumping profit in the ocean. Some people will believe anything.
Reply:most politicians have no thought about the consequences of their actions, perhaps dumping bush in the ocean can help.
Reply:Take what you read in the Independent with a pinch of (copper free) salt.
Reply:Sounds a pretty stupid idea to me.
Reply:Do you really believe that any thinking person will believe this garbage. You could at least provide a source if one truely existed. Just more propaganda. To those responders who simply accepted this without checking, you need to look up "Big Lie", a common propagada tool.
Reply:shocking!
Reply:Oh please........the man makes me want to weep he's such a thick c***
Reply:give him a fishing rod and he'd probably go fishing in a helicopter
hes just a silly oil tanker
Reply:It's not Bush's plan (and I'm not reluctant to criticize him when it's appropriate).
It's an idea that many scientists think is worth investigating. Some preliminary experiments have been done. Their results have been disappointing, but the experiments haven't done any great damage either.
It won't be done on a large scale unless it's proven safe and effective. But it's worth exploring.
Reply:Just what do you think is already in undrinkable seawater anyway? Lemon juice?
The oceans may indeed hold the key to eventually reversing (not just halting) global warming. I knew there was an ongoing experiment to seed the ocean with a microscopic mineral compound to which algea would attach itself to, grow around , and thus remove dissolved CO2 from seawater on a truly global scale. On an worldwide oceanic scale this is going to do a lot more to cut down CO2 than all of those smiley face wind generators you want someone else to put up beyond your local horizon.
Reply:how that man won a second term is beyond me
what? he didnt win?
but i thought the USA was the worlds greatest democracy?
oh right...
Reply:I would highly recomment trying to give Bush info from these 2 web addresses:

Let us all strive for a greener/brighter future by helping to create a solid foundation for future generations to build upon, so we can hand them a beautiful world, filled with never ending awe and wonders!!
Where peoples differences and uniqueness are accepted, where we all live as one, helping one another so that we can all play our own mysteriously beautiful melodies in the never ending, awe inspiring, song of life :-)
Reply:What ever happened to the year 2001 - I thought the purpose for EPA-822-R-01-005 was to limit the discharge of copper in our waterways.
Reply:The man is an ***. He will be the downfall of the human race and civilisation as we know it.
I read the comment some American, (I presume) female, asks if you have the qualifications to do what Bush does. The question is does he have any qualifications and if so did he get them before he was an alcoholic or after?
Reply:Well he is a yanker.
Reply:Ha ha. Look how you got these people to believe that. Gullible.
Reply:Do you honestly think that we are totally responsible for "global warming" please. the world has been destroyed before...one poster said the other day that it was the flinstones fault for not burning fossil fuels causing "global cooling" and I think he is right it is ludacris to think that we are responsilbe for what is happening with the world....I'm sure we are not helping but we are not the cause. are you one of those idiot people that think we world was created 2,000 years ago?! please get real...we have no idea what is causing all of this we dont even know what is at the deepest depths of the ocean or understand completely how your own brain works.....dude...believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see. You have your opinion and that is great and if that is how you fell then you should support your beliefs but "I" dont believe that you should trash the President like that...I mean are you qualified to be in his possition?? If so run for president and then stop the copper dumping and whatever else you believe hurts our enviroment!! You drive a car dont you?? ok then maybe you should get around on a bike all the time....remember when they said that cow farts caused a hole in the ozone layer and hairspray....you believe that too? God will do what he wants to and the world will develop and shift as it is from now until the end of time....but you can not honestly blame the end of the world on one man...get real. The native american indians had the right idea....only take what you need and use every piece of it....then sit around and smoke the peace pipe!! now that sounds good to me! By the way opinions are like as$ holes....everybody has one! And that is mine!!
Honestly....some people are stupid and think that "WE" control this world.....HA....and God is looking down saying "those poor fools have no idea...." GROW UP!
Look like I said we are not helping but there is nothing we can do about the world changing and developing....If you feel this strongly about the issue of dumping copper into the ocean the do somehting about it....dont just ****** to everyone about it....this is the first I have heard about the copper thing.....write a letter....educate people around you about the situation and have them sign a petition....but coming here and bi.tching is not going to solve anything.....I believe we should do something to try and help the enviroment....but if it is so far gone already to the point of no return.....what can we do? How about the chinese and the japanese and the rest of the world.....what are they dumping in the ocean that they are NOT telling you about....all I am saying is it is not all Bush's fault....he is not helping very much but look at everybody else....what are they doing? I fully believe that one person CAN change the world and you seem to be very involved in the issue....so DO something. And I wish you luck in doing so!! I just believe that everyone has a right to his/her own right to voice their opinion and make a difference......but here is not the place where you are going to make the biggest empact! Like I said its your opinion and good luck in your endevourse! spell check is not working for me right now and I am not the best speller but I'm sure you get my point!
Look insulting people is not the way to get your point across...and I have my own beliefs and it sounds to me like you dont believe in much of anything other than your own opinion.....and just because a Sceintist said it doesnt make it true....What do you believe in? I believe that we were created by a higher power which I call God....I believe that the bible was written by man and has many many imperfections....there are serious problems that I have with the christian religion but I believe the major parts. I believe in some evolution as well...I have formed my own opinion and beliefs and I dont follow some cookie cutter religion and I dont believe that you have to prove something for it to exsist either. Like I said DO SOMETHING besides fuss....you sound worse than a woman pms-ing.
I think you are right the more people know the better off we all are...I would love to make this world a better place for the up coming generations and make sure that they can see all the different animals in the wild and not have to go to a wildlife refuge....it would be great if we could go abck to the way things use to be but you cant point a finger at just one person or country or group of people I want to thank you for your opinion and your honesty on how you feel about the issue and if you ever decided to start a petition to stop something that is being done to our world that could be or will be detremental to it I would sign it!! My main issue is so many people want to blame our President for everything that is going wrong and its not just his fault!! I wish more people would look at the big picture no matter where you are or what you believe if we all came together as one this world be SO much of a better place!! I'm not sure how old you are but I am only 21 but I am old enough to know I still have ALOT of growing up to do my views may change a lot later on but right now this is how I look at things.....I believe that you are concerned about a problem that needs to be addressed and I commend you for trying to educate people about what is going on because unfortunatly more people are worried about Paris Hilton than our children and grandshildrens future...Good luck to you and I hope we get to argue again soon!!
And I fully agree with you on many points and I am not trying to shut you up....yes it is HARD to swallow someone elses opinion....I understand where you are coming from and hope that you are trying to understand mine. I respect your opinion and I feel as if mine should be respected too....again if you ever try and do anything to help I will be more than happy to help as well!! I try not to be a simple minded person but NO ONE is perfect.....Hope you have a wonderful day!!
Reply:Oh, %26amp; too much copper would result in copper poisoning which would kill fish %26amp; people that eat them. They dont think - bet they wouldnt get sick.
