that is a new one on me. i have never heard him say that.


i do remember the last politician in the white house say that the constitution is a radically outdated document that needs to be overhauled or replaced.
Reply:I don't think he has ever said this, but in terms of what he has meant it. Just take a looking at presidental signing statement and look at the over 500 constitutional changes he has made through them.

What's ironic is that this president, who was a conservative "godsend" when he appointed "strict constructionists" to the Supreme Court, is part of the neoconservative fringe that sees the Constitution as a barrier (rather than as a guideline as most liberal interpreters would) to realizing their totalitarian ambitions.
